Description: WWII Fighter Pilot Lt. Col. JESSE C. DAVIS 83rd FS, 78th FG Signed FDC SCARCE 100% genuine signature of WWII fighter pilot Lt. Col. Jesse C. Davis, USAF (1915-1964). Davis served with the 83rd FS, 78 FG during WWII. He was credited with 2 official aerial victories. His decorations include the DFC w/2 OLC and the Air Medal w/3OLC. In 1964 Davis, despondent over a pending divorce, murdered his wife and then committed suicide. Very sad ending to a brilliant career. This is an EXTREMELY scarce signature. Doubt you will ever find another... Much scarcer than signatures of the aces. Only a scant few collectors sought out the non-aces until very recently. This one is exceptionally scarce. I've been collecting military signatures for well over 50 years. This is a signed FDC out of my personal accumulations.
