Description: WONDERFUL PAIR OF ANTIQUE AMERICAN N.Y. FEDERAL SHIELD BACK HEPPLEWHITE ARM CHAIRS CIRCA 1800 Size: 21.5" wide x 39" high and 17.5" deep. Nice clean finish to both chairs. Well cared for and very comfortable. There are some older professional repairs with mostly directed to one chair. Repairs at or near some joints and the bridge on one chair. The feet on one chair have been ended out as shown on one foot. The corner blocks have been replaced at least on one chair. Some surface imperfections, scratches and lighter surface in areas as seen. Overall, very, very good for their age and quite acceptable. The fabric is not original but of the period style. There are some spots of staining on at least one of the chairs that I can tell.
