Vtg Knob Creek Oriental Crackle Porcelain Chinoiserie Table Lamp Working READ

Description: Vintage Ethan Allen Knob Creek of Morgantown oriental crackle porcelain table lamp. Lamp works. The porcelain is in beautiful condition with some crazing behind the crackle pattern. There is one side that has a longer scratch or it may be a small crack (please see photo). It is hard to see unless you are looking closely. The wooden base needs lots of love to be restored to its original beauty. There are cuts and loss of finish/scratches as well as one side that has a piece broken off. There is some loss of finish on the gold band that is under the switch. Some of the blue banded areas have lighter areas in them but I believe that to be how the lamp was painted at the factory. The focal point of the lamp is the beautiful hand painted peacock. Shades of terra cotta, teal, blue, and a dusty fuschia create a spectacular design. There are gold accents throughout the lamp’s design. The cord measures 84” long (7’) and is in good condition with a few nicks here and there. The plug is also in good condition. The lamp will come with the harp and the finial but does not have a shade. The harp will be removed for shipping. The last photo shows the lamp with a bulb in it to show that it is in working order. The light bulb is not included as it was used for listing purposes only. The base of the lamp has the original green felt and has the Knob Creek sticker. The felt shows significant signs of wear due to age and use. Signs of wear should be expected with all pre-owned vintage items. Especially items that are used every day like this lamp. These minor areas of wear add to the charm of this rare vintage lamp! The base will need replacing or restoring to be brought back to original condition if desired. Because this item is older and has wear, we are selling it AS-IS with the understanding that the lamp works which as seen in the last photo it does. This lamp is on the heavier side. It weighs almost 8 pounds. We add plenty of cushioning and a box large enough to accommodate the packing materials but not so large as to allow the lamp to move around. Unfortunately shipping may be slightly high. We do our best to pack safely while at the same time being mindful of the size and weight to avoid excess shipping charges.
