Description: This listing is for 14 issues of one of the best craft magazines for needlework that were ever published. "Olde Time Needlework Patterns and Designs" were billed as "exquisite designs and patterns out of the glorious past", and they live up to their billing. The crafts are all amazing. There are, of course, lots of linens and quilts, but the ones I love are the ones for dolls - the dolls are cloth dolls, and are just wonderful. Easy to make, and just "glorious", as billed! There are lots of designs of Kate Greenaway figures. There are fabulous doll and baby clothes that range from easy to hard to make, but all lovely. There are toys, such as powder puff toys and dolls. There is basketry and cutwork patterns. There are Christmas pieces and decorations. There are pages of fashions from the 1800s through the 1940's. There are things I have never heard of, such as "buck darning", and things that are really fun, like candle shades. There are embroidery and crochet for little girls (which is more for me, since I am a novice at needlework). These magazines were published by monthly.
