Description: This lot is for 3 betting stubs, or tickets, from the 1954 Kentucky Derby. The race was held on May 1, 1954 at Churchill Downs. Each ticket is dated "1 MAY 1954" and clearly marked, "CHURCHILL DOWNS." The winning horse that year (in the FIRST race) was "Determine" ridden by Raymond York. The lot includes one stub each marked "WIN", "PLACE" and "SHOW." The "WIN" stub is for the ever-important FIRST race. The "PLACE" stub is for the fifth race. The "SHOW" stub is for the seventh race. Each one measures 3 & 1/8 inches long, by 2 inches wide. They are in VERY GOOD condition. The ink is a little smudged - nothing too serious. There is some slight "tension" creasing, but no deep creases. No tears or pin holes. They are guaranteed to be old & original, or your money back. I AM HERE TO HELP WITH QUESTIONS..
