I bought these plates that are 11" across about 45 years ago while antiquing with my Mom-in-law. When I was only looking to buy a couple she said no, get them all they will come in handy and they have. I have used them for just about every Thanksgiving. They make a great charger with a smaller plate underneath or just a great plate by themselves. They are heavy and not without some blemishes that actually came with the plates, no dings, just little oddities. There are 12 plates, but one has two bad chips which I won't put in. I'm not having those big Thanksgiving dinners anymore and my kids don't want my stuff, mores the pity, and I have too much of it. All the best, C A Lockwood
