Description: Up for auction is a vintage Cookie jar manufactured in the 1940's by J. Celadon. The style is called a turnabout, so there is no front or back, one side is a male bear, the other side is a female. There are no chips or cracks but there is crazing throughout. Most of the original paint is intact although there is loss. These can easily be re-painted if desired. The piece stands a little over 12" tall(lid on). Very heavy.
