Description: This vintage Kodak 35 Kodex camera is a museum quality example of this classic piece of film photography history. The first 35mm camera produced by the Eastman Kodak Company. The foldable viewfinder, black knobs, and f/5.6 lens all point to a very early production from 1938-1942. This camera has been thoroughly tested and works perfectly. The shutter on this particular camera has a quirk that if pointed straight up, the shutter blades stick. May need to be lubricated after 80+ years. Otherwise timing is unaffected. Some dust in the lens may require disassembly to fully clean, a bit beyond my expertise. It is a great addition to any film photography enthusiast's collection. Includes a leather field case which is also in excellent condition except for the missing rear piece that snaps to fully enclose the camera.
