Description: Vintage Japanese Kutani Porcelain Sake Set Pitcher & 4 Cups with whistling bird on top. This vintage Japanese Kutani porcelain sake set is a stunning addition to any collection. The set includes a pitcher and four cups. The set was made in Japan and the pitcher is signed. The intricate details and beautiful design showcase the Japanese culture's rich heritage. The hand-painting depicts six of the Japanese Immortal Gods along with poems. The provenance of this set is known. It was a gift given to my Japanese Judo Sensei by an important Japanese Judo player visiting the Dojo in the 1960's. Pitcher is in perfect condition. Three cups are perfect, the fourth is a little chipped on the top (see photos). Pitcher is six-sided with gold whistling bird on top. It measures 5-7/8" tall x 2-1/2" wide. The cups are 1-1/4" high x 2" in diameter. Thanks for looking!
