Description: Extremely rare statute from the 1960s. Daruma was known as the blue-eyed barbarian, and was born in the 7th Century. He considered himself a direct descendent of Buddha. The piece is made of something akin to mosaic glass called Kutani-Ware and the statue was imported from Japan in the 1960s. Absolutely stunning flawless piece. Includes museum plaque.
