Their lamps were used by Interior Designers and sold in high end furniture and lighting stores. Kovacs lamps were made in the USA. This lamp was made in 1999 as shown in the photos. In the early 2000's the Kovacs name was licensed by another company and manufacturing was moved offshore. This lamp represents one of the last original George Kovacs portable lighting fixtures. Along with the intricate weave body it has a white frosted glass dome shade.
