Description: Up for auction is an Old Vintage General Electric 4 Blade Desk Fan | Time Frame between 1900 and 1945. 42X542 - 108719 (Does Not Oscillate). I have added a cord to it and it does run. This temporary cord will need to be done right for a proper restoration, and is not safe to leave the way it is. So all who purchase this should know not to leave the cord the way I have it! It is in fair condition, showing lots of wear and age, fan blades have a few dings. It’s rough and one blade appears to have a slight bend in it. Not sure of the material, but from research, it could be brass, aluminum, or it could be brass-plated. Blades are non-magnetic! Other than its defects it would make a nice addition to a fan enthusiast and would make an interesting restoration project! I believe 42X542 is the category and 108719 is the model number.
