Vintage Fred Harvey El Grandee Purse with Arrowhead Dog Snap

Description: Vintage Fred Harvey El Grandee Purse with Arrowhead Dog Snap This old purse is labeled “Fred Harvey El Grandee Hand Woven in New Mexico.” It measures 9-3/8” across by about 5-1/2" or a little over top to bottom, with the flap closed. Open, the purse measures 9-3/8” by about 11”. The zipper is marked “TALON”, as is the ball on the chain, and works as it should with no defects noticed. The base of the closure snap is stamped “MADE BY A.M.CO”. The top half of the snap is not broken, it's partially covered by the lining as pointed out in one of the photos. The snap works as it should, with no defects noticed. I don't know what type of metal the arrowhead decoration is made of. It doesn't appear to be tarnished, like silver would or should be, and I see a small spot of green on the underside. Whatever it is, it doesn't seem to react to a magnet. The arrowhead measures just under 1-3/4" long by just over 1" top to bottom. I believe the purse to be made of wool but have no clue as to what the lining is made of. I'm not sure what the stain is inside but I'm thinking it may be soy sauce. I found an individually wrapped toothpick and a fortune from a fortune cookie inside that coin pocket. Knowing me, it would stand to reason that I had a packet of soy sauce in there too. This purse has been in my collection for quite some time and hasn't been used in more than 25 years. There are no odd or unpleasant odors to it that I noticed, the colors are bright and the fabric is soft. There is a snag or loose thread in the wool above the snap, as pointed out in one of the photos. There are other stains/discolorations on the lining and there may be other signs of age and/or use that I missed. Please let me know if you have any questions or need any more photos/info.
