Description: This listing is for lovely, round framed picture by Bessie Pease Gutmann named, “Loves Blossom,” which is written across the bottom of the image just above Bessie Pease Gutmann’s name in rust. This sweet sleeping baby is the picture of serenity. The condition of the image is very good. The soft tones are stunning. Bessie Pease Gutmann lived from 1876-1960 and was an American artist and illustrator. She studied at the Philadelphia School of Design for Women and attended the New York School of Art (later Parsons, The New School). There are a few places where creases are evident on the edge of the image. Appears this is part of the framing process. The back is completely intact and still originally sealed. The work has a gold foil sticker on the back that says, “Hand made Peter Watsons Studio.” The item is remarkably fine condition with limited wear to the edge of the piece despite its age. See photos. The glass over the print is concave glass and measures 9 1/4” in diameter and the depth of the piece is approximately 1/2” inches. There is a silver circle that is attached to the cardboard and serves as the hanger on the back. No cracks or chips in the glass. No repairs to this item.
