The box measures 12 X 12 X 2 inches, so barely fits a medium flat rate box. This puzzle features irregular shaped fairly large glossy pieces, so it is challenging in a way, but usually there is only one piece that fits in a spot. All the small fantasy details are so fun to look for. My husband who is an avid golfer enjoyed it. I think children starting around 8 years old could participate, especially with a group.
