Description: Vintage Jemco, NRA Lined, Hinged, Clasp Closure Tapestry Purse. Manufactured under The Ladies Hand Bag Code Authority. Has the number 668447 on the tag. There is some rust on the decorative piece along the top and some on the metal that runs along the inside. The NRA (National Recovery Administration), an FDR enacted administration, was only active from 1933-35, so this hand bag was manufactured between 1933 and 35. It is made of a tapestry-type material of beige and other colors. Photos are pretty accurate to color shades. It is lined in a solid brown cotton fabric and has a Clasp Closure. Inside is a coin purse that is suspended by metal bars and swivels. It also has a Clasp Closure. There is also a small pocket in the lining. There are no known rips or tears to the materials, but the coin purse inside is hard to get closed. Please see photos for details, and let me know if you would like to see more.
