very rare vintage hardy alnwick st george multiplier trout fly fishing reel

Description: for sale here is a very rarely seen hardy st george multiplier , 3 + 3/8ths , early 3 screw latch with , ebonite handle , straight unfiled ribbed brass foot , rim tension screw , undamaged smokey agate in hardy stamped nickel silver bezel , fully stamped to rear with make/model detail , a very very nice little reel this one in overall excellent condition , there is some light age related pitting mainly around the rims can be seen , built by jack johnstone and has his J.A.J. stamp inside , good strong loud check and no slackness on spool , .. fully checked and serviced and ready to use......very nice one this and all works just perfectly , interesting that jack used a spool from a standard st george to build it as you can see where he has plugged the only handle hole on the front of the spool but all done completely original as the multiplier has a totally different cog fitting on the back of the spool , hardys simply used everything they had and it isnt uncommon to see little anomalies like this...lovely little reel.......please see my other listings of hardy and other vintage fishing items this week...ref box 3 please also view more excellent items on my other ebay account , ebay username is jennywrentackle if you buy a reel from me , you can be sure it has been through my workshop , lines removed , fully cleaned and serviced and any worn or damaged parts replaced with new ones , so no loose handles , no chewed up screws , no spool wobble or spindle wear , no bent or filed feet , no worn pawls , no loose rivets or missing parts , good tight springs and always described exactly as i see it , i do all the hard work so you dont have to worry about getting an inferior reelobviously the more vintage reels may have little flaws such as worn screw heads or paint wear or scratches etc but all items will be fully photographed and described correctly , if you are unsure then please contact me..
