This desirable World War 2 knife would make a fine addition to any collection. A U.S. Navy sailor carried this knife. He marked his branch, his name and where he was from, and his serial number on the front of the sheath. The sheath is marked '1944 U.S.N. 316-2114 John J.(?) Hope Omaha, Neb.'. This is a handsome theater-made knife. The handle is made of common theater materials--aluminum and bakelite. This knife measures 13 1/8" overall. The blade itself measures 8".
