In the Cold War period Facility No. 75 became significant as the new home for the Fleet Intelligence Center Pacific and the Naval Oceanographic Processing Facility. The Ford Island location and the sturdy design of this building provided security for these sensitive operations. The building design is noteworthy for its adaptation of standard storehouse plans to fit the unusual site.
