Description: The Endless Summer is an American documentary film directed by Bruce Brown, released in 1966. Director Bruce Brown follows two surfers, Mike Hynson and Robert August, on a trip around the world to discover the best waves and an endless summer. The two protagonists visit the coasts of Senegal, Ghana, Nigeria, South Africa, New Zealand, Tahiti and Hawaii before returning to California. The narration deviates from the usual seriousness of documentaries from the 1950s to move towards a more personal and humorous approach. The surf music for the soundtrack was provided by the band The Sandals.
