Description: This antique industrial railroad factory cart coffee table is a unique addition to any collection. The table was manufactured by John T Towsley and is a true piece of history. With “towsley” branded wheels and square head bolts this is indicative of a pre wwII cart. Towsley holds the first patent for the “tilt” cart, around 1888. This cart is the 24x47 size 52” long bracket to bracket This cart is our shop favorite out of the 200 carts we purchased and redo. This cart spent its life at the Little Rock Crate & Basket company as the red dye cart. Decades of it being dedicated as the red dye cart has left an absolutely beautiful color and patina. This is truly one of a kind and has history like no other. Rather than completely taking the cart apart like is our standard practice, we have left this like we got it, only wire brush cleaning and sealing the cast and wood. It has what we think is a brass weld on the one large wheel adding a beautiful bit of individuality.
