Description: Up for your consideration is a beautiful vintage Thorens turntable. The turntable was disassembled and serviced. Through this process, we tried our best to keep it as original as possible.The original plinth wasn’t in the best of condition and it’s not made of solid wood. I contracted a furniture maker/carpenter to make a new plinth from real solid wood. The upper plinth is made of real solid Teak wood and the bottom section is made of solid maple wood. I purposely left the teak untreated so that the new owner can pick the desired finished look.The Speed control board components were tested and still within manufacturers specification. The speed voltages were calibrated and tested and will lock onto both speeds perfectly.The isolation suspension springs and cups were reviewed and readjusted and still hold true to the original suspension.The neon strobe lamp was defective and replaced with a new LED. The color of the new light is a combination of blue/purple. There was no customization to the strobe wiring and can be reverted back to the original form by the new owner if needed.All moving parts were cleaned and lubricated where applicable. Including the motor and spindle. A new power cord was installed due to the original being brittle.This sale includes a new replica clear dust cover. The original hinges clips and wire will be included and will be installed by new owner. The replica dust cover has pre drilled screw holes in the appropriate locations.I’m including some extras with this purchase. Included will be one new belt, one new set of isolation suspension springs and rubber cups, and a steel Thorens emblem /badge that can be placed onto the plinth.Note: this sale will include a $150 dollar original headshell without NO cartridge.
