Established in 1882, Crook County was created from the southern part of Wasco County and named after U.S. Army Major-General George Crook, a hero of the Snake Indian Wars. This fascinating volume covers the history of this Central Oregon region and its families. Profusely illustrated with vintage B/W photographs throughout. Overall book condition is Near Excellent, lightly read, solid spine, no loose or torn pages, very faint shelf-wear to board edges otherwise unmarked, clean, tight and bright.
