Minimal wear to the boards. A previous owner's name in thick pencil on the front flyleaf; else free and clear of writing and underlining. The pages are lightly tanned, but clean, with only a very minor occasional imperfection. Small bookseller's stamp on the rear pastedown. The jacket is poor, with general rubbing, age darkening, soiling, and loss at the edges. The jacket has been archivally and reversibly reinforced on the underside with Japanese tissue at all four joints and some closed tears (refer to the last three pictures). The spine of the jacket is notably darkened. The jacket has been placed in a clear and removable mylar cover. A presentable copy of the first book of Faulkner's "Snopes Trilogy."-βHe fled, not from his past, but to escape his future.
