Small mark to the front of volume 3, and splitting to the cloth on the rear board, and two marks to the front board of volume 4, along with a tiny closed tear on the spine. Bookplate of Luita and Charles Merrill on the front pastedown of each volume. No writing or foxing. Top edges are gilded. Eight total tissue guarded illustrations, two in each volume.
