Description: This is for an original 1969 N.B.A.P. Member card of Hall of Famer Oscar Robertson from his days with the Cincinnati Royals. The jury is still out on where the cards came from as there is proof that many were cut off of a basketball box while others are rumored to be cut off of Converse sneaker shoe boxes. Either way they are super rare. Since the cards show no NBA logos or even uniform numbers it is believed that they are an unsanctioned issue. There are only 20 cards in the set and they are so rare that even terribly cut and heavily creased cards command premiums. This could be the finest known card of Robertson from this set. The only issue is a bit of white on the top upper right corner. Other than that, this is an incredibly gorgeous card. Rare doesn’t even begin to describe the scarcity of these cards. A PSA 1 Bill Russell with paper missing from the front recently sold for 5,000.00 in a Clean Sweep Auction in 2023. This is a must have for any advanced collector or Oscar Robertson fan. If anyone is trying to complete the set I have more different cards available. I am listing this card on ebay to see what kind of interest it gets before I decide to put them in a catalog auction.
