Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan Ceti Eel Creature Original Greg Jein Movie Prop

Description: This listing is for an original Star Trek Ceti eel creature that was made by Greg Jein for the movie Star Trek II: Wrath of Khan. The prop is made of foam and has been painted brown on top (the bottom shows the foam material it was made from). I am unsure if this was a used piece, some people I've spoken with speculated they made this for filming the creature in motion and the cast resin would be used for when the creature was still or dead. Due to the unfinished edges I am assuming this was a stepping stone to the final product, but either way it is still an original prop made by Jein that came directly from his estate. I cannot confirm this piece was ever used in the filming, I am speculating based on conversations I have had with some Trekies. I know it was used for the production and design, it does match the dimensions of the original screen used prop that sold at auction recently. Provenance: This was bought in CA from a person that bought a storage locker that was full of miscellaneous items owned by Greg Jein. We have a huge mix of original items that came directly from the famous master model maker himself.
