It contains some never seen before art and pictures by Stanislav Szukalski. Published in 2021. Bilingual edition - in English and Polish. A perfect buy for the Szukalski fans. Book contains also two lengthy studies of Szukalski's photographic work that are undoubtedly of a pioneering nature in terms of the analysis of Szukalski's photographic ouvre. Both articles are published in English and Polish. The first article by prof. Lechosław Lameński, an eminent expert on the work of Szukalski outlines the role of photography in the artist's creative activity, most of whose works were destroyed during the Second World War. It was the preserved glass negatives containing the images of Stanislav Szukalski's works that became an invaluable source of knowledge for researchers about what the selected works looked like, which did not survive the confrontation with the destructive force of war. The second text, by Jakub Pączek, is an extremely important study presenting groundbreaking discoveries regarding Szukalski's photographic activity - from his fascination with this medium during his studies at the Academy of Fine Arts in Krakow to the last years of the artist's life in America. Reaching mainly to artist's correspondence (never before presented to English readers), new archival materials, and above all, establishing contact with direct witnesses in the United States, Jakub Pączek collected research material and quotes that remained completely unknown to most of the enthusiasts of Szukalski. Most of the images were never published in print before, neither were they included in the 1989 "Lost Tune" book of Szukalski's photographs of his own sculptures. The book is fully bilingual, as all the contents were published in English as well as in Polish.swiss binding soft coverbrand new80 pagessize: 6,6” x 8,4” (16.5 x 21 cm)SOLD OUT and not available anywhere elseTHE ONE LAST SIGNED copy left I own
