The 1970 World Soaring Championships were held in Marfa, Texas - the event was the first World Soaring Championships held in the United States. The medal is made by Medallic Art Co. N.Y. and is cast bronze. It measures 3" in diameter. Excellent condition with a mellow, uniform patina.
