The use of the speed loader in advance there is no worrying about magazine spring deterioration. The speed loader is used by pre-filling the loading tray (at this time the shooter can take their time examining or weighing each prior to placing in tray). Take the backing off the magazine (clear plastic) holding the speed loader level place the magazine on top indexing with the follower. Twist the magazine until it stops.
