The stenciled information on the inside of the shoes’ tongue tells us that, though made in 2006, these boots were manufactured according to the parameters of the Soviet state standard 447, approved into production in 1991 for Air Force, Army and Navy officers. The shoes are not much different from those worn throughout the Cold War Era, and closely resemble the WW2 type. In thick genuine leather. The size is stenciled on the tongue, and in the special recessed circle on the sole. In excellent condition, showing minimal wear on the sole and an occasional scuff on the side of the uppers. The stitching is intact everywhere, even on the tongues where it often frays from repeated manhandling. This pair is ready for some reenactment action!
