It contains 37c Snowy Egret stamps with Scott numbers 3829, 3829A, 3030, and 3830D. The definitives are part of the American Wildlife issue. The 2003 to 2004 singles are multicolored with 3 different perforation gauges. Carl T. Herrman designed the stamps and they were printed by Avery Dennison and Ashton-Potter (USA) Ltd. The stamps feature a stylized side profile of the marine bird. Thirty Seven cents paid the USPS First Class 1 oz domestic letter rate from June 2002 into Jan. 2006. The highlight of the set is the convertible pane variety with microprinting, which is shown magnified at the location of the red arrow. These stamps once retailed for well over $100 a pane, but have since leveled significantly down.
