Description: This is a neat, uncommon, one-off, sepia post card of some of the crew of the Austro-Hungarian warship, S.M.S. Arpad, on what looks to be an island(w/a few stains, but little wear and tear!)! It was sent from a sailor serving aboard that warship from Pola(an awesome CDS!), Croatia, Austria, to Ocsa, Hungary, on, April 24, 1903! It arrived in Ocsa(a great, receiving CDS!) on 4/26/03. The green, 5-Heller Austrian stamp is in fine condition! As for the Arpad, it was a pre-dreadnought battleship of the Hapsburg-class commissioned in 1903. At the time of the writing of this mail, it was in the midst of fleet maneuvers. Noted, minor imperfections aside, this is a really nifty piece of Imperial Austro-Hungarian Naval postal history!
