Description: This model 66 Machine (Serial number G 6297079) is beautiful and in working condition. It has been fully serviced and works as it should. The bent wood case is beautiful and in excellent condition for its age, 108 years old. The machine is in very good condition, there is no rust anywhere. Some scuffs and scratches as one would expect, but in very good condition and it works. The light and cast iron foot pedal work. The original electrical cords work, but should be replaced for safety reasons. The Attachments shown along with the original manual are included. This machine was originally sold at a hand crank. The Singer motor and foot pedal were added as an early electric conversion kit. The motor swings into position and uses friction drives the flywheel. The motor was referred to as “Back-Clamping” and is less common than the side attaching versions that came later. Very cool design, very good condition. My mother, 83 years young, a master sewer and quilter has thoroughly gone over this machine. It has been cleaned and lubricated and is in excellent working condition.
