This is what I have found on most threads about this book, sold as is In 1990, while working at his comic shop "The Spider's Web" in Puyallup, WA, Todd McFarlane hosted a fundraiser for a local High School that had a fire. He signed Green and Silver Cover Spider-Man #1 comics, and sold them for $10 to help the school. These books were also stamped on the rear of the book with a red spider's web. This is how you know the signature is real. CGC does not recognize the stamp as a way to authenticate the signature, so they give it a Green (Qualified) Label. According to Comic Buyers Guide #878, Todd McFarlane signed and stamped 24,000 copies.
