That means either carefully heating up the oil pump housing and hammering the tube, which usually gets dented (or even collapsed in some cases). Not with this tool... This tool grabs around the pickup tube collar, and when you strike the tool with a hammer, it will push in the tube on the collar. The secret to using this tool properly is to position the clamp PARALLEL, so when you strike the tool, you are pushing the tube in straight. Fits SBC/BBC/LT1 pumps with a 3/4" (.750") pickup tube.
