Sabal bermudana “Bermuda Palmetto” USDA Zone 7b, 5F A stout trunked (to 22" diameter) version of the cabbage palmetto, native to the Bermuda, Sabal bermudana is surprisingly hardy to the upper single digits. Leaves are about 5-6.6ft. long on 5-6ft. long. My personal palm, planted here in USDA 7b in North Mississippi, survived -3F protected by 10 inches of snow and a tarp in the winter of 2023-2024 and endured a week below freezing. Certainly a very hardy palm, especially considering its provenance! Please note, these are trade sourced seeds, as my palm has not flowered yet. Please Read!
