Description: This is a custom 12" figure of one of the best known American screenwriters and television producers, Rod Serling (12-2-1924 -- 6-28-1975). Serling was involve in many tv shows but is best known for his anthology tv series, The Twilight Zone that was on television, CBS- 10-2-1959 --6-19-1964. The Twighlight Zone featured different types (fantasy, horror, science fiction) of stories and often provoked discussion. Many times people in the story faced a dilema involving a moral situation. Some were very scary and shocking for the time. Rod Serling would introduce each episode, sometimes serving as narrator. Serling was known as tv's angry young man for his whole career. He was a war veteran struggling with demons. Serling smoked three packs of cigarettes a day due to stress and experiences in his life. He would evntually die of a heart attack at age 50. Rod Serling is one of the most interesting people in history, especially in the world of television. This series was one of the best tv shows ever, with good actors playing believable characters featuring some great stories.
