Description: Self made reproduction Imperial Russian Army RG 14 grenade bag, copied from a relic original item that was loaned to me, missing parts are based on another photographed original item. Made with used dirty green cotton duck and Soviet era reinforced cotton thread imported from Russia, the four internal bags are natural cotton calico sourced here in the UK, the wooden toggles are also made here in the UK for me. These bags were also used by the later Red Army in conflicts such as Khalkin Gol in 1939, and the Winter War of 1939 - 1940, and also into the early stages of The Great Patriotic War. Bag is approximately 27 cm x 24.5 cm with an adjustable two part shoulder strap 28 cm and 135 cm long respectively, it has a belt slide on the reverse, four small pockets with flaps inside the bag lid, and four white calico bags 12.5 cm x 11.5 cm on hemp strings sewn into the bag edge. These bags will be made from used fabric and will show signs of dirt and wear, also some of the panels are not long enough to make the longer shoulder strap in a single piece, so a join along the strap may also be found. These bags came in a left and right version, this is the left version, they also came in a variety of different fabrics, and construction variations. Thank you to Stephen Perrott for kind loan of his original bag for this project. The original bag has had the shoulder strap removed, and the Russian wooden toggles have been replaced with German zeltbahn buttons. BAG IS SUPPLIED EMPTY.
