Description: I am selling this gorgeous Rene Lalique Cigales press molded opalescent box recently acquired from an upscale estate. It measures approximately 10" in diameter and 2" tall & it is in excellent condition. There are no chips, cracks or restorations. I can't even find the usual flea bite. There are surface scratches that can be seen under the magnifying lens and light. There is one spot on a Cicada that looks as if some paper is underneath it. It is not on the surface but inside the glass. Still a gorgeous piece. It is heavy, weighing in at a little over 4 lbs., and it is signed R. Lalique France along one edge. The glass top is decorated with cicadas and the bottom is a violet fabric base with the original price tag still attached. This fantastic piece would make a great addition to any collection.
