Description: Vintage handcarved wooden lamp from renowned Canadian (St. Hyacinthe, Quebec) sculptor/woodcarver Adrien ArpinSigned with his classic signature of A Arpin on the base (front top)Circa 1960sThis is a beautiful golden oak color with a dark brown cord/plug The stem of the lamp is a tree, with a bearded man sitting in a rocking chair with his faithful dog by his side and a log fence in the background. Lamp only, no shade - ready for your shade of choiceBulb not included Measures approximately 13" high (without a bulb/shade), 9" wide, 8" deep, and the base is a solid 1" thick Tested as working! The plug, cord, and socket are in good, undamaged condition. Cord/plug is branded GE General Electric. In very good cosmetic condition all around with no cracks or damage. Some very minor knicks to the wood but no significant damage or wear. The stain has held up very well over the years. Just a beautiful, solid, classic mid-century piece for your cabin, cottage, man cave, she-shed... or a great gift for someone who appreciates fine Canadian folk art.
