Description: Rare Original 1940s Movie Poster "English Without Tears" Danish Release Danish title "Engelsk uden Taarer" which translates to "English Without Tears" which was a 1944 British romantic comedy movie. When the film came out the Germans had occupied Denmark, so a British film would not be advertised there likely until after the end of the war in 1945.This movie poster artwork was done in 1946.Reverse side has handwriting with the title of the movie and what appears to be a date of June 1947. Used, as-is. Paper is worn thin on creases and fold crease intersections have holes. Some tack holes. Tape and handwriting and dirt on back. Some chipouts and tears on edges. See attached pictures. Glass jar paperweights in pictures are not included in sale. Poster will be shipped folded as that is how it has been stored for many years. In our current age movie posters are often rolled, but many decades ago the norm was to produce and distribute them folded.
