Description: Very rare wood box purse by Enid Collins / Collins of Texas: * Mid-century work of art titled "Indian Corn" * Features an Indian corn display bejeweled with bright fun colors one would expect * Includes rich jewel tones of amethyst purple, ruby red, and a bright citrine golden hue * Perfectly matched creamy beige lucite arched handle * Very clean interior * Little brass feet on the bottom have protected the message and logo * How perfect would this be for Thanksgiving?!!! ESTIMATED AGE OR ERA = True original authentic vintage - 1960's METAL AND/OR MATERIAL = Solid wood box purse adorned with plastic jewels CLOSURE/CLASP = hinged in the back and flip tension bar in the front MARKS = Hand Made Especially For You and the Collins of Texas horse logo on the back MEASUREMENTS = 4 3/4" H x 4 1/4" D x 8 1/2" across - Handle arch aprox 4 1/2" to top US RING SIZE = N/A WEIGHT = N/A CONDITION = Overall great vintage condition for the age and rarity - it looks like there has been a little boo boo somewhere along the line as there is damage to a rear corner. A little chip out of the top and a split on the seam. The seam does flex back together with pressure applied - so it would be an easy fix. See last pic. There are several plastic gems missing as is common with this type of purse. Perfect chance to customize should you desire or roll up your restoring sleeves to bring this jewel back to it's original glory. It is worth it as this is a very rare find! Interior is minty and hardware is all in good working order. View & enlarge photographs to closely inspect fine details and to determine the amount of patina, and/or wear.
