Description: Rare 18th Century Baltimore MD Maryland Original 1798 old Antique Newspaper Offered is an original, collectible newspaper (NOT a copy/reproduction): FEDERAL GAZETTE & BALTIMORE DAILY ADVERTISER, Maryland, May 24, 1796 * Rare 18th century American publication Page 2 and a bit of page 3 are mostly taken up with a report from Congress: "On motion for making provision for carrying into effect the treaty with Great Britain." which refers to the controversial Jay Treaty. Page 3 has a report headed: "Pittsburg" noting in part: "...that the British have altered their minds about giving up Detroit. The Indians from that way say that their old father is not going to give them up yet..." and much more. There are several runaway slave ads with details.
