The medal is made of gilded metal, it is 1 3/8 inches in diameter and in uncirculated condition. The obverse at the rim reads PRINCE RUPERT B.C. - GOLDEN JUBILEE. In the center scene it has a fishing boat with a jumping fish, along with an airplane, tree, logs, buildings in the background and a scroll that reads 1910 - 1960. The reverse at the rim reads COMMEMORATING THE 50TH ANNIVERSARY - OF THE CITY OF PRINCE REPERT B.C. - INCORPORATED MARCH 10TH 1910. In the center it reads GOOD FOR - $1.00 IN TRADE - DURING THE YEAR 1960 - AT ANY PARTICIPATING BUSINESS - OR REDEEMABLE FOR $1.00 BY - THE PRINCE RUPERT GOLDEN - JUBILEE COMMITTEE UNTIL- 12 O'CLOCK NOON SAT. - DEC. 31 ST 1960.
