Two Westbank Marine Air Reservists returned home last week after completing recruit training at Parris Island, South Carolina and an eight-week aviation mechanical fundamentals school at the Naval Air Station, Jacksonville, Florida. Privates First Class Lloyd M. Massey (left), son of Mr. and Mrs. Thomas J. Naro, 22 Vivian Court, Algiers, and Joe H. Wyman, son of Mrs. and Mrs. Frank H. Wyman, Sr., Route 1, Belle Chasse, will report to the Marine Air Reserve Training Detachment at Alvin Callender Field where they will serve he remaining few weeks of their six-months active duty. Upon release from active duty they will train one weekend each month with a Marine Air Reserve squadron at Callender Field. Photo measures 10 x 8.25 inches. Photo is dated --none.
