Porsche 944/924S Windshield Wiper Motor Conversion 477955113B

If you have a square dash 944, 924S or 924, you may have become aware that the windshield wiper motors for those cars are NLA (No Longer Available). As the original motors get noisy and fail from age and rust, finding a suitable replacement can be difficult. I have experimented with several different options for replacements, among them VW, Audi, and Chrysler offerings. None of them worked properly. After much testing, we have developed a solution that uses a Porsche wiper motor and a cable which connects the square plug to the correct flat plug for the new wiper. The solution works exactly as the original wiper motor does, fast and slow speeds, intermittent wiper action, and parking at the bottom of the windshield when the operation is complete. There does need to be made one minor modification to the wiper assembly frame that the motor is mounted on. With a die grinder or a hacksaw, you will need to remove a bit of metal about two inches long and one half inch wide of the metal frame. This modification can be done with the assembly in the car and does not affect the strength of the wiper assembly. The electrical part is plug and play. The video demonstrates that the motor has the proper clearances to work without problems. The photo with the measurements shows the amount of modification that needs to be made to the wiper frame. This kit includes the new conversion cable, a fully tested Porsche wiper motor, and detailed written instructions to make the modifications to the wiper frame. It does not include the wiper frame. You will need to modify and reuse your own frame. Returns only considered if there has been misrepresentation on the part of the seller.
