Description: One of the absolute greatest posters we have ever come across. We have never seen nor can find another of these ones anywhere. An anti axis WWII poster promoting scrap drives, notably for metal and rubber, to help defeat the enemy. Shows two young boys hurling a pot at the enemy. The artist behind the poster is William Steig, who famously created the Dreamworks Character Shrek. Shrek 2 was named in his honor just after his death. Stieg also famously wrote for the New Yorker starting in 1930. Measures 57.75x33.5” (WILL BE SHIPPED UNFRAMED) Condition- very good on linen. Linen has been trimmed right to the edge of the poster. Some small repaired tears, restored loss upper right hand corner.
