As a trained violinist, Nierman used his musical training to influence his painting and sculpture using movement and harmony, which he as saw as intertwining disciplines. This beautiful piece of abstract art in amazing cream and tan onyx marble is stunning. The sculpture stands 10.5" high x 6" wide x 2" at the thickest point and sits on a 4" x 4" base with a weight of 6 lbs. The statue is in overall good condition, with wear and light distressing commensurate with age and use, natural striations to marble, and a possible nick inside the circle of base (see the last image for determination if it is a natural fissure, striation, part of sculpting, or bruising).
