ONE VINTAGE RUSSWIN 384 MORTISE LOCK w/KEY - 5 7/8" BRASS FACE, 2 3/4 BS (40520)ONE Vintage: circa 1930: RUSSWIN # 384 brass faced mortise lock with a brass key, functions perfectly. Two available as the auction begins. The body of the lock clearly maker marked RUSSWIN one of America's many high quality manufacturers of builder's hardware during the second half of the 19th Century and early 20th Century. The lock is reversible, fully restored and we we may have two more of these if you need them, please check with us if you do. Dimensions as follows: FACEPLATE: Heavy brass faceplate with a great patina, measures 5 7/8" long and 1" wide and 1/8" thick.. DROP: The drop ( the distance from the center of the knob post hole up to the center of the cylinder lock is 2 5/8". BOX: Box is 3 1/2" deep from the front edge of the brass faceplate to the back of the box and it is 4 1/8" top to bottom. SCREWS: Screws are on 5 1/8" centers. BACKSET: Backset (the distance from the front of the front plate to the center of the knob post hole) is 2 3/4". KNOB SPINDLE or KNOB SHAFT: The lock is made for a 5/16" square post shaft.KEY: Comes with one key. REVERSIBILITY: The lock is reversible.
